All you need to do is scroll down the endless number of pictures on the LUCKY RACER facebook page  to see the wonderful results of the selfless efforts of founder Kris Scherer over the past decade that has paid off in the many lives she has touched with this great program. Lucky Racer was founded to create a legacy for her step dad Doug "Lucky" Leuke, a ski patroller and ski racer who loved racing and helping others. He would be so proud of what she has accomplished with this program. 
DesaRae Nickell was our first Lucky Racer Champion to attend Nastar Nationals in Aspen in 2023 bringing home a gold medal!    Please donate generously to help us fund sponsorships to deserving racers and create Champions on and off the slopes.
2025  We have partially covered travel/entry fees for DesaRae to attend the Special Olympics World Games in Turin, Italy and we are funding her favorite “coach” Kris to accompany her.  She has stepped up her fitness and race training routines and whether she brings home a gold or not, we will be super proud of her "Olympic" sized effort!  Also we currently have a junior (11) racer (Sierra) showing incredible talent for ski racing and we would like to open up more possibilities to sponsor her further.
